11 former PKR MPs met over dinner at hotel tonight

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 24): All eleven PKR Members of Parliament who quit the party today, met over dinner at a hotel in Damansara near here tonight.

The dinner meeting, which began at 8pm, lasted until close to midnight, a source close to an MP from Sarawak toldBernama.

“All 11 of them were there, but they didn’t come at the same time. They come and go, it was just a normal dinner," the source said.

The 11 MPs comprised four full ministers — Datuk Seri Azmin Ali (Gombak), Zuraida Kamaruddin (Ampang), Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah (Indera Mahkota) and Baru Bian (Selangau).

The others were Datuk Kamarudin Jaffar (Bandar Tun Razak), Datuk Mansor Othman (Nibong Tebal), Datuk Rashid Hasnon (Batu Pahat), Datuk Seri Santhara Kumar (Segamat), Ali Biju (Saratok), Willie Mongin (Puncak Borneo) and Jonathan Yasin (Ranau).

PKR had sacked Azmin and Zuraida before they announced they were leaving the party.

Reporters who managed to stop some of the former PKR MPs outside of the closed-door dinner meeting, however, failed to dig any information out of them.
