KOTA KINABALU (Jan 23): Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) will add 112 Unifi Mobile long-term evolution (LTE) sites in Sabah beginning in February to enhance 4G/LTE services in the State.
TM's Sabah general manager Datuk Mohd Sainal Mohd Amin said works would begin in Kota Kinabalu before being expanded to other areas, including the islands off the east coast of Sabah.
"This year, TM will focus on promoting Unifi Mobile to add to the existing 246 4G/LTE sites," he told reporters after TM’s friendly meet with the media here today.
Mohd Sainal said the network expansion would enhance TM’s coverage and the quality of 4G/LTE services, while the company will also provide special packages for tourists, in an effort to support the Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign.
