Pharmaniaga denies appointing third parties to sell face masks

SHAH ALAM (March 26): Pharmaniaga Berhad (Pharmaniaga) today denied allegations that the company had appointed third parties as agents to sell face masks to the public.

Pharmaniaga in a statement said it only sold face masks online atwww.royalepharma.comor at RoyalePharma outlets and its network of alliance pharmacies.

The statement also denied a recent claim doing its rounds on WhatsApp that certain parties from the company were selling face masks above the Government-imposed ceiling price and disregarding the Movement Control Order.

“The claim by irresponsible parties is only to mislead the public by using the company’s name. In fact, Pharmaniaga's face masks are sold based on prices set by the Government," it added.

Pharmaniaga expressed regret over the actions of certain quarters to smear its reputation and said it would not hesitate to take legal action against the perpetrators.
