KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 8): The High Court here today fixed a total of nine days between February and April 2020 to hear FGV Holdings Bhd's suit against its former group chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Emir Mavani Abdullah and ex-chairman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad over the purchase of two units of "The Troika KLCC" luxury condominiums along Pesiaran KLCC here at prices above market value.

Today, Mohd Isa's lawyer Lavinia Kumaraendran toldtheedgemarkets.com that Judicial Commissioner Quay Chew Soon fixed Feb 3, 4, 7, 28 and March 6, 9, 10 besides April 1 and 2 as the trial dates.

Lavinia said today Quay fixed the dates in chambers following case management. According to Lavinia, Quay fixed Jan 15 for further case management.

The lawyer said, "There are over 20 witnesses from FGV, while Isa is expected to have five witnesses."

In the suit, FGV claimed that Mohd Isa and Mohd Emir bought the condominiums at prices which were significantly above market value and that the purchases were done without proper due diligence.

FGV claimed that there was unauthorised possession and use of the condominiums by Mohd Isa and Mohd Emir.

The suit also involves the acquisition by FGV of a number of cars and allegation that Mohd Emir misused the company's cars and petrol benefits.

It was reported on Nov 30, 2018 that FGV filed the suit to seek from Mohd Isa and Mohd Emir RM2.92 million for the acquisition of the condominiums, and RM1.62 million for the possession and use of the residential units.

It was reported that FGV is also seeking RM3.14 million and RM10,837 from Mohd Emir in relation to the company cars and petrol benefits respectively.
