KUALA LUMPUR (March 6): UWC Bhd’s share price rose as much as 16 sen or 6.06% to RM2.80 in morning trades today after the metal fabrication services provider said yesterday it registered a net profit and revenue of RM13.31 million and RM54.94 million respectively in the second quarter ended Jan 31, 2020 (2QFY20).

For 1HFY20, UWC said in a statement to Bursa Malaysia that net profit and revenue stood at RM24.53 million and RM101.85 million respectively.

There are no comparative figures from a year earlier because UWC was listed in July 2019.

At 9:27am today, UWC shares were traded at RM2.79 for a market capitalisation of RM1.54 billion. The stock saw some five million shares traded.
